Pantone: rose quartz and serenity are in fashion this year

Rose quartz PANTONE 13-1520 and Serenity PANTONE 15-3919 are the colors of 2016 according to Pantone, world-renowned authority on color.

This time I really like Pantone’s color choice despite ‘What color is in fashion this year?‘ is one of the most nonsense questions by ‘common people’ to fashion insiders, and considering that in 2016 I’m tired of hearing that fashion trends can be simply based on a mathematical algorithm coded with the images of the catwalks.

For the first time they are 2 and I really like them, especially when matched together like in the Ermanno Scervino Spring Summer 2016 collection with the red touch of the accessories.

Honestly, when I think to these colors I remember the lovely checkered aprons we use in Italy at kindergarten (blue for the boys, pink for the girls) or the ball dress for the princess Aurora made by the fairies of the Disney movie “Sleeping Beauty”.

The hunt for Rose quartz PANTONE 13-1520 and serenity PANTONE is officially open! Even if the light blue Oxford shirts are a cliché of the male wardrobe and pink or serenity coats are already a constant with the fashion bloggers since Fall Winter 2013.

Maybe we don’t have to buy such a thing, because we already have it all!?

Fall Winter 2013 Trends – Floral? For “Winter”? Groundbreaking!

Floral? For Spring? Groundbreaking!

Every time Meryl Streep pronounces this line in the movie The Devil Wears Prada, she makes laugh all the fashionistas who love her sarcastic role of Miranda Priestly.
Needless to add that fashion bloggers “tragically” revive this joke once a year in March, when spring trend reports sprouting on the web. A spring or summer without flowers seems to be inconceivable for fashion designers.
This post, however, is part of a winter trend report series, so why do I speak about flowers and the spring? Let me explain it.
