Pantone: rose quartz and serenity are in fashion this year

Rose quartz PANTONE 13-1520 and Serenity PANTONE 15-3919 are the colors of 2016 according to Pantone, world-renowned authority on color.

This time I really like Pantone’s color choice despite ‘What color is in fashion this year?‘ is one of the most nonsense questions by ‘common people’ to fashion insiders, and considering that in 2016 I’m tired of hearing that fashion trends can be simply based on a mathematical algorithm coded with the images of the catwalks.

For the first time they are 2 and I really like them, especially when matched together like in the Ermanno Scervino Spring Summer 2016 collection with the red touch of the accessories.

Honestly, when I think to these colors I remember the lovely checkered aprons we use in Italy at kindergarten (blue for the boys, pink for the girls) or the ball dress for the princess Aurora made by the fairies of the Disney movie “Sleeping Beauty”.

The hunt for Rose quartz PANTONE 13-1520 and serenity PANTONE is officially open! Even if the light blue Oxford shirts are a cliché of the male wardrobe and pink or serenity coats are already a constant with the fashion bloggers since Fall Winter 2013.

Maybe we don’t have to buy such a thing, because we already have it all!?

Graduate Fashion Week 2014 – Crispy chips are in fashion this year!

From May 31st (to June 3rd) London is going to stage the Graduate Fashion Week, the world’s leading event for fashion students, showcasing the work of over 1,000 graduates from the most influential UK and international universities.
As usual you can see on the catwalk a lot of inspirations, provocations, novelties, but in some cases you can also have a lot of doubts about the prestige of those fashion institutes.
A part from the same common teaching methods that invite students to copy “reinterpret” the great Japanese masters and the Antwerp Six, it seems that this year the pop imagery of Jeremy Scott gained a certain influence on the new generations of designers. Following the front-row reportage of the Graduate Fashion Week from the social media channels of GlamJam – The Fashion Atlas by Chiara Senatore it’s really the case to say that crispy chips are the hottest fashion trend this year.
