You can think about the libertine and eternal rivals Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo, or the casual-androgynous Katharine Hepburn, not to mention iconic garments such as the tuxedo for women by Yves Saint Laurent (mid 60s) and the destructured pant suit by Giorgio Armani (80s). Although these examples seem to belong to the past, from the catwalks we can definitely say that the androgynous look is one of the Autumn Winter 2012 trends. There are many variations and styles for the daywear such as the entire Ralph Lauren collection, inspired by the English tailoring, where checked tartan and tweed seem to clash in a perpetual duel on the catwalk. The same large silhouette with tight jacket and waistcoat, are proposed even by Trussardi in plain colour, with contrasting accessories. Note the length of the pants, just upon the ankles to show the boots. Rock mood from the 50s for Scognamiglio and Iceberg, designed for rebel and strong women. Great classics: the unstructured Armani jackets, as well as the tuxedo proposed by Peter Dundas for Emilio Pucci or in velvet and gold embroideries by Etro. Details: men’s shoes not only ankle boots and moccasins, but also boots with pseudo-gaiters (Fendi) or bicolored slippers reminiscent of men’s laced shoes (Emporio Armani). Nel cinema e nella moda, sono tante le dive che hanno fatto storia indossando completi da uomo, basti pensare alle libertine ed eterne rivali Marlene Dietrich e Greta Garbo o ai look casual-androgini di Katharine Hepburn per non citare capi icona come lo smoking per signora ad opera di Yves Saint Laurent a metà anni ’60 e i tailleur pantalone destrutturati di Giorgio Armani negli anni ’80. Nonostante questi grandi esempi sembrino appartenere ad ere passate, guardando le passerelle possiamo decisamente dire che l’abbigliamento maschile, androgino, è uno dei trend per la stagione Autunno Inverno 2012. Tante le varianti e gli stili che non si limitano alla sera, ma coinvolgono anche mise da giorno come l’intera collezione di Ralph Lauren ispirata ai capi classici della sartoria maschile inglese in cui fantasie tartan e tweed sembrano scontrarsi in un perenne duello. Le stesse silhouette molto ampie, con giacca avvitata e panciotto, vengono riproposte in tinta unita da Trussardi in cui l’unico punto di colore contrastante ricade su borse e stivaletti. Qui è da notare la lunghezza del pantalone, mozzata ben sopra la caviglia, per far risaltare gli stivaletti. Mood rock anni 50 per Scognamiglio e Iceberg, per ragazzi forti e decise, ben oltre le righe. Immancabili le giacche destrutturate di Armani, classiche ed eterne; così come i tuxedo proposti da Peter Dundas per Emilio Pucci in tinte chiare o in velluto e ricami dorati per Etro.
