The creative couple, Gigliotti and Modica, from Frankie Morello has made an Autumn Winter 2012/2013 collection inspired by rock music. Their muse is Joan Jett, the punk and grunge music-icon and now re-launched rock-star thanks to “The Runaways”, the tribute movie to her first group, starring by Kirsten Stewart and Dakota Fanning. There are many references to the American Preppy Style: from the cotton striped shirts paired with pencil skirts; passing by the leather jackets worn like classic sporty bomber jackets; until the bright colored duffel coats, decorated and fastened with precious chains all around the body.      Nel mix and match di generi e stili il motivo decorativo più ricorrente sono le borchie, di tutte le dimensioni e fatture, disseminate su borse e scarpe, veri e propri strumenti di seduttiva tortura, ma anche sui tubini e i mini biker in pelle.  Le spalline aumentano otticamente il loro volume ad alto tasso di pericolosità come tappeti di affilatissimi chiodi per fachiri, mentre le minigonne e il vestito in pizzo sembrano acquisire un’anima più dolce con le borchie stondate e disposte ad effetto degradè dall’alto verso il basso. Per la sera, vestiti lunghi di rete metallica indossati a nudo, per una rocker girl carismatica, in pieno mood della soundtrack “I love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, il brano che reso la Jett un’icona.
