Per celebrare l’importante traguardo di uno dei miei stilisti preferiti ho voluto creare questo post omaggio alla sua carriera. Gli anni ’90 sono caratterizzati da continue evoluzioni: cinque anni come designer per Fendissime (1990); nominato senior designer da Krizia (1995); conosce Emanuel Ungaro (1996) che lo prende sotto la sua ala protettiva, nominandolo direttore creativo (1998) e infine lancia la linea sportiva Ungaro Fever (2000). Gli abiti di questo periodo manifestano una femminilità selvaggia, con contrasti di colori brillanti e stampe floreali in pieno rispetto dello stile Ungaro.  Nel 2004, a fine contratto, lascia Ungaro e annuncia il lancio del suo brand omonimo; nel frattempo viene nominato co-direttore creativo di Iceberg insieme a Paolo Gerani, collaborazione che durerà fino alla SS 2009 collection. FW 2006 – DEBUT COLLECTION Finalmente a Marzo 2005 debutta con la collezione Giambattista Valli nel grande salone da ballo dell’InterContinental Hotel di Parigi, si dice in omaggio al suo idolo Yves Saint Laurent che era solito tenervi le sfilate d’alta moda. Il suo stile è elegante e delicato, ispirato agli anni ’50, ma con un twist contemporaneo, adatto alle giovani it girl del jet set internazionale, alle quali si era avvicinato già dai tempi di Ungaro. La palette acquisisce una nuova vitalità con le gradazioni calde del vermiglione e del giallo.
