T-shirt: T shape garment made with the body and sleeves. It is normally associated with short sleeves, a round neck line, and no collar.
Well, now cancel this definition and imagine a journey in Japan. Smell the cherry blossoms’ scent, let yourselves be enthralled by the colors of ukiyo-e prints and by the charm of origami which mimic the harmony of nature. Then, think to go in Italy, in one of the Neapolitan atelier that has marked the history of Italian tailoring, while you are touching the finest Italian fabrics ready to be assembled on the mannequin. Ok. That’s it! This is what the young talents of Metrodivine
t-shirt brand thougth when created their first collection.
|Metrodivine – Spring Summer 2013|
Metrodivine is the new project born from the idea of three young Neapolitan guys: Luigi Izzo, graduated in fashion design; Salvatore Izzo, fashion contributor for several magazines including Vogue Italia; and finally Tiffany Bencivenga, who comes from an important family of tailors who presented their collections in New York, Japan and Moscow under the “Bencivenga Couture” label. The Neapolitan trio, literally tired of the proliferation of trivial T-shirts, decided to launch its own brand Metrodivine. The first spring summer 2013 collection is based on the concept of a unisex and one-size item which is a t-shirt, shirt, dress or tunic, all in one, suitable for every body type and personality without gender limitation.
target is definitely the young audience, who loves versatile garments and international trends, but doesn’t give up to high quality products made with Italian fabrics by skilled tailors. That’s Metrodivine: historical traditions and contemporary trends all in one.
