At the beginning of the Milan fashion week, Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso presented the LEITMOTIV women’s Spring Summer 2013 collection titled “Dream Day“, in a huge
space of an ancient building in the very central Via Dante.

On the walls there were projected digital animations made by Apparati Effimeri visual designers, that physically transported the visitor into the imaginary scenarios of the prints of the collection.
You were transported in front of a peaceful Hockney-like swimming pool surrounded by arabesque tiles, then under a XVIIIth century loggia overlooking a paradise on earth with a pond and birds flying in the background.
As in the past LEITMOTIV collections there are many formal and stylistic contrasts: old/new, far/near, denim/silk, leather/pvc, 60s/XVIII century, pop art/late baroque. The prints remind a journey across the America of the 60s, passing by the A shaped silhouettes, then returning to the retro details of the shoes and the floral boleros or of the crocodile leather necklace with pvc floral applications, resembling the rhodoid one by Elsa Schiaparelli. The myriad of colored crystals on some clothes are a special feature of the collection, thanks to the collaboration with Swarovski Elements. Once again, the two designers have managed to convey the fantastic imaginary LEITMOTIV world, translating it into clothing and accessories especially designed for a woman who wants to “live suspended between dream and reality, between magic and wonder, in search of the eternal charm.” The presentation had a great success and Fabio and Juan have never had a relaxing moment. But as they revealed in my previous interview for PremièreShooting.com, these exhausting periods allow them to meet so many people that they feel “recharged” with positive energy.

Sono bravi e questa collezione è davvero molto bella.
Mi piace anche l’allestimento.
I miei preferiti sono il miniabito con la stampa piscina e i collier, meravigliosi; tra l’altro hai proprio ragione, presi singolarmente sembrano proprio una versione pop del collier di Schiaparelli.
